Privacy Policy
Who we are
Amplexio EPU, Vienna, Austria. You can reach us at letstalk@amplexio.com. Full company details are in our Impressum.
What the app stores
Your contacts, notes, tasks, events and orders are stored on your device. If you use the app without an account, they stay there.
If you sign in, the app backs up and syncs your data. Before anything leaves your device it is encrypted with AES, and it is stored encrypted on our servers at Supabase in the EU. Only you have the key, so we can't read your contacts or notes. To keep your devices in sync our servers do see some metadata: dates, the stage and status you give a contact, and a hashed version of the phone number.
For your account we store your email address. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we also store the ID they give us.
Photos and documents you attach are stored on our servers in the EU and opened through links that expire after a short time.
AI features
Some features send text to Anthropic, PBC, through our servers, to write a summary or a suggestion. Anthropic processes it in the United States, so this text leaves the EU. We only send what the feature needs. The transfer is covered by Anthropic's data processing terms, which include the EU standard contractual clauses. The app never sends a message for you unless you press send.
Analytics
We use PostHog, on servers in the EU, to see how the app is used: which screens are opened, which features are used, crashes, and an anonymous device ID. Anything you type, contact details and attachments are hidden before anything is recorded.
Analytics is on by default. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the app stable and making it better (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can turn it off in Settings. Screen recording is off unless you turn it on.
Booking appointments (Zeeg)
On our websites you can book an appointment with us directly. The booking window is provided by Zeeg (Zeeg GmbH, Berlin, Germany). When you open a page with the booking window, your browser loads content from Zeeg, which technically transmits your IP address to Zeeg.
When you book, Zeeg processes on our behalf what the form asks for – usually your name, email address and the chosen time – so that we can confirm the appointment, remind you and hold the conversation. According to Zeeg the data is stored on servers in Germany.
The legal basis for embedding the booking window is our legitimate interest in offering booking right on the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); for the booking itself it is your request and the pre-contractual steps that come with it (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you would rather not book through Zeeg, write to us at letstalk@amplexio.com.
Email sign-up (Loops)
If you leave your email address on our websites, we pass it to Loops (loops.so), the service we use to manage and send emails. Loops processes the address on our behalf and stores it so that we can contact you about your interest in Amplexio and send you information about Early Access. Loops is a US-based service, so your email address may be transferred to the United States.
The legal basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and, where we reply to your enquiry, pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). You can have yourself removed at any time: write to us at letstalk@amplexio.com. We keep your address until you ask to be removed or withdraw your consent.
Your phone book
The app only reads your phone book when you choose contacts to import. We don't upload your address book.
Subscriptions
Payments go through Apple. Apple tells us whether your subscription is active. We never see your card details.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account data until you delete your account. After that we keep your synced data for up to 6 months for backup and recovery, then delete it. Data on your device is deleted when you remove the app or use Reset in Settings.
Terms of use
The app uses Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct, delete or get a copy of your data, and you can object to how we use it. Write to letstalk@amplexio.com. You can also complain to the Austrian data protection authority.
Children
The app is not meant for children under 16.
